![]() The device has 8GB or 16GB of internal storage, plus a microSD card slot for expansion. It has a color 7-inch multi-touch display with a resolution of 1024×600, an Arm Cortex-A8 1.2GHz processor, and 512MB of RAM. So sit tight and let’s get started! What is a Kindle Fire?Ī Kindle Fire is a small tablet computer developed by Amazon. In this post, we’ll walk you through how to do it. Luckily, transferring everything over is actually a pretty straightforward process. If you’re like most people, you probably have a ton of information stored on your old Kindle Fire that you want to take with you to your new one. How do you move books from one Kindle Fire to another?.How do I move applications from my old Kindle Fire to my new one?.How do I move files from my old Kindle to my new one?.How do I get my old Kindle files onto my new Kindle Fire?.This had the added benefit of improving performance considerably. I started fresh, hard-resetting my PW3, updating it, and loading everything anew. ![]() I also use genre collections, so I emailed batches of books in the same genre so that I could select them all together on My Kindle Content and add them to the genre, rather than having to do it one by one. With my email project, I managed to line things up so that 25 attachments equaled one page on My Kindle Content (which shows 25 books per page), then I clicked "select all", and "send to device". Sometimes a book seems to go directly to the default device, and sometimes you have to go to the web and do it manually. Amazon keeps changing the way they handle new books being sent to devices. And I've taken to visiting the My Kindle Content page to sort books into collections, so I'll go there to put a new book in whatever Collection is appropriate. You can drag and drop your files there, which is probably the easiest way to do it.įor new side-loaded books I'll probably use Send to Kindle web. Recently Amazon introduced a Send To Kindle web interface. You can also send them to your Kindle email address directly from Calibre, but it's very slow. There were a very few that didn't work properly, and I had to reconvert a couple of times. So I converted all my sideloaded books to EPUB in Calibre and sent them over email, about 25 at a time. I did it right when Amazon stopped accepting mobi, but had started accepting EPUB over email. Is it possible to have Amazon set up in such a way that any future books I buy can automatically be sent to both my new kindles (under the same account)… does anyone know please? (I should say that all the devices are mine and would be registered under the same account). I’d be very grateful for any advice regarding the 2 problems. Also once I finish a book and delete it from one (say the Oasis) can it sync and automatically delete it from the Scribe too please? ![]() Is it possible for them to sync between each other and if so how do I do this? (I mean once I have added the same books to each) I’m thinking about the current book that I would be reading and whatever place I am up to. I intend to keep the same books (mainly Calibre sideloaded books and a small proportion of Amazon books) on both my new Oasis and the new Scribe. I have pre-ordered the new Scribe so I will soon need to add my books to that one too. Does anyone know how to do this please? I am afraid that I am not familiar with the tagging at all.Īnd then my second question. Is there a way of telling Calibre (easily) that I have ”all these” books on my Paperwhite and I want you to add “all these” books onto my new Oasis please?įrom the old post that I made, and the help that I received, I seem to remember it was mentioned something about how you could tag (?) the “ticked” books (with my old Paperwhite connected to Calibre) and then somehow connect the new Oasis and tell it to add these ”tagged” books? But I really can not remember exactly what was said. On my Paperwhite I only have my unread books. In Calibre I have ALL my books (read and unread). However most of my books are sideloaded using Calibre. I have some books from Amazon and I know how to transfer these. I am getting an Oasis today and want to transfer the books I have on my current old Paperwhite to my new Oasis. (First I want to apologise as I know I asked about this some time back but despite searching for 10 minutes I’m unable to find the old thread)
